Allen Farm
We are a family-owned farm, proudly passed down through generations since 1848. As one of the last remaining choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms in Southern Illinois, we offer both Scotch Pine and Leyland Cypress trees grown on-site and Fraser Fir trees sourced from the northern U.S. For added holiday charm, visit our wreath shop for wreaths in various sizes, monument and mailbox saddles, and other festive decorations and gifts. Our season begins the day after Thanksgiving, and we’re open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until we sell out. Credit cards are welcome.

Our Christmas tree prices vary depending on their height and whether they were locally grown by us or shipped in from the north.

About Us
Allen Farm proudly celebrated its sesquicentennial with the Illinois Department of Agriculture in 2007, marking over 150 years of continuous family ownership. The farm's origins date back to 1848 when Elizabeth James’ great-grandfather, Nathan Allen, purchased the first parcel from the United States government. Today, Elizabeth represents the fourth generation to live on the farm, which spans 265 acres and has a rich history of supporting its residents with livestock and crops.
In its early days, the farm raised sheep, hogs, cattle, horses, and chickens, alongside cultivating various grains and hay. Today, its primary focus is on beef cattle and Christmas trees. The farm supports approximately 50 head of cattle at any given time, and the first Christmas trees were planted 38 years ago.
Allen Farm is truly a family endeavor, with four generations contributing to its success. We deeply value our customers and thank you for being part of our journey.
